A pair of antique ebonized carved wooden relief panels depicting knights or royals of the 17th Century, the panels likely 19th Century. One panel has a mounted knight or royal with his steed in high relief while behind him in low relief we see the castle turret and crenelated walls. The other panel has 3 men, an older man center and on either side knights or soldiers wearing armor. The man in the center looks aghast, and looks as if he may be in the process of arrest. The men carved in high relief while the castle walls in low relief stand behind them.

Each panel measures approximately 14” x 10 1/2 and is in overall very good condition for their age. There are a few small cracks, but no loss to the relief carving. The back of both panels are beveled at the edges and have wires to hang them.
