A fine and detailed oil on canvas portrait of Emmanuel Philibert of Savoy, Prince of Oneglia. This portrait painting appears likely to be a 19th century copy of the original by Sir Anthony Van Dyck from 1624, the original a three-quarter length portrait.. It features the prince, with mustache and goatee, wearing armor and a ruff collar. The ruff rendered in outstanding detail as well as the embellishment on the armor. The painting is apparently unsigned. 

The sight area of the painting measures 20" x 24" and with frame measures 26" x 30". The pierced and gilt frame in very good condition. The painting had small chipping paint in the lower right section and has now been professionally restored, with a light cleaning and re-varnishing.
