This painting by Belgian artist, Alex de Andreis (1880-1929) depicts a musketeer in red holding a musket over his right shoulder, before a landscape and column. He looks directly at the viewer and is mesmerizing. The painting is rendered in great detail with fine skill.

The painting is in excellent condition, clean and bright. The gilt frame has had a number of minor repairs to small elements on the frame, but looks very good. Ready to hang. The site area is approximately 32” x 25” and with the frame overall approximately 42” x 35”.
