An oil on canvas painting by Dutch artist Pieter Wouwerman (1623-1682), the younger brother of the famous artist, Philips Wouwerman. The painting depicts the departure of a hunting party of an elegant company before an estate. The painting has a number of individuals and hunting dogs in the scene, our favorite the master of the hunt bending down to get a kiss from his dog. The painting bears the monogram of Pieter Wouwerman in the lower center of the painting.

The painting image measures 22 1/4” x 25 1/2” and overall with the gilt frame measures 27” x 31 1/2”. The painting and frame are in very good condition and ready to hang.
