Oil on Canvas painting signed R. Harding and dated 1882, the scene is likely the Scottish Highlands depicting a castle on a lake with sailboats and in the foreground to the left a deer and two hunters. The painting has nice pastel colors and shows great detail.

The painting itself is in very good condition. The back of the canvas has an old stamp, which reads “ Prepared By Winsor & Newton 38, Rathbone Place, London” and there is a sticker on the back from McGuire & Company Fine Art, Northville, Michigan.

The site area of the painting measures approximately 8.5” x 12.5” and the overall dimensions including the frame measure approximately 12.5” x 16.5” The frame has several areas of old damage or losses with restoration and repainting, but does not detract from the painting itself.
