A beautiful English landscape painting by Edmund H. Niemann, son of the famous landscape painter Edmund John Niemann (1813-1876) entitled “The River Avon”. The painting shows a wonderful large river with rocks and hills with a large castle or abbey on the upper right, and large trees on the left shore, with pinkish clouds and birds flying overhead. The painting is signed “Niemann” and entitled on the name plate with the artist name and title of the painting. It is presented in a swept and gilt frame and is in very good condition.

The painting image measures approximately 23 1/2” x 41 1/2” and the overall size including the frame measures approximately 33” x 51”.
