This is a large pair of Royal Bonn Delft Style plaques depicting Rembrandt and his wife Saskia. These are hand-painted in the blue and white style of Delft in great detail with matching borders. I purchased these plaques separately and years apart, but it is obvious that they were meant to go together. The plaques measure 20” in diameter and are quite heavy. They make a wonderful wall display and are from the 19th Century. Royal Bonn was a company located in Bonn, Germany, which was later purchased by Villeroy and Boch.
