An oil on copper painting attributed to Dutch artist, Anthonie Palamedesz (1601-1673) depicting a guardroom scene with soldiers and dogs, presented in a period Dutch 17th Century ripple mold frame, signed lower left.

Painting has extensive craquelure, and some slight bending, but presents well. Frame with nicks, abrasions, cracks, but overall sturdy condition and lends an air of sophistication to the work. Copper plate measures 10 3/4” x 13 1/4” and overall with the ripple frame measures approximately 22” x 24”.
